Session Fees

My fees align with the standards set by the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta (PAA) for Registered Psychologists

Virtual Psychotherapy (50 minutes): $235 per session

Additional Services (e.g., extended sessions, letters or forms) are billed in 10-minute increments.

Note. Psychological services are not covered by Alberta Health Care (AHCIP). Coverage may be available through extended health or employee benefit plans.

Cancellation Policy

Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you. When a session is cancelled late or missed, it prevents another client from receiving the care they need.

I require at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. This allows me enough time to offer that opening to someone else. Please note that if you provide less than 24 hours’ notice, you will be responsible for the full session fee.

Payment Policy

To keep my practice focused on providing high-quality care, I have a straightforward payment policy. This ensures that our time together is dedicated to your progress rather than administrative tasks.

When is payment due? Payment is expected immediately after your session.

How do I pay? I accept Credit Cards and E-Transfers.

Insurance & Reimbursement

I do not offer direct billing at this time. However, getting reimbursed by your insurance provider is usually a quick and easy process.

How It Works

  1. Payment: You pay for your session at the time of your appointment.

  2. Receipt: I immediately send you a detailed receipt (invoice) that includes my CAP Registration Number.

  3. Submit: You upload that receipt to your insurance provider’s app or website.

  4. Get Paid: Most insurance companies (like Alberta Blue Cross, Canada Life, or Sun Life) deposit the funds directly into your bank account within a few days.

Check Your Insurance

Most extended health plans in Alberta cover services provided by a Registered Psychologist. This includes plans for teachers (ASEBP), health care workers, and major employers.

Questions to Ask Your Insurance Provider

  • Does my plan cover “Registered Psychologist”?

  • What is my total coverage amount per year?

  • Is there a “per-session limit” (e.g., $150, $200)?

  • When does my coverage reset?
